Arts United
Arts United for Davidson County was formed in July 2000 as a result of the merger of the Arts Council for Davidson County and the Davidson County Museum of Art. Our office and gallery are located at 220 South Main Street, in Lexington, NC. Arts United provides many resources for county residents and visitors, including school programs, art camps and classes, community art events, multicultural events, concerts, operating support for arts groups, project grants for artists and scholarships for young artists. It is our mission to nurture the development of a thriving literary, visual, and performing arts environment for all ages throughout Davidson County. In carrying out this mission, we:
Enhance, beautify, and animate communities
Provide vibrant art activities and events that attract residents, businesses, and tourists
Support educational programs
